Christopher Dew grew up in Cape Town. His musical development started with singing in the local church choir and becoming organist at 16 and choirmaster a few years later! Whilst teaching music in local high schools and privately, he also directed and conducted the Cape Town Gilbert and Sullivan Society in the 1970s.
Christopher was trained privately as a piano teacher by Doris Lardner. During the 1980s, holding two degrees in Musicology, he was Lecturer in Music at the Faculty of Music at the University of Cape Town. Since 1991, Christopher has focussed on his piano playing and teaching at his home studio in Aldershot. The organ has continued to feature - Director of Music at Christ Church Crookham in the 1990s, and more recently as a recitalist at All Saints Church in Fleet, St Eligius Church, St Andrew’s Farnham and Romsey Abbey. We welcome him back!

The impressive recessional Carillon-Sortie, with sounds of bells and chimes,
by the French composer and organist Henri Mulet (1878-1967)
